Accessibility

The Nexus Today is designed to be as accessible as possible, including to people with visual, hearing, cognitive and motor impairments. Our goal is to provide equal access to all of our users.  In aid of this, we follow accessibility best practices (including providing a link to skip to the content), ensure our tests include using the software with screen readers and keyboard navigation, and regularly use the WAVE automated scanner. We also host our community on Dreamwidth, a site known for the attention it pays to accessibility.

All that being said, we are currently beta testing the software, and so there are almost certainly accessibility issues as well as other bugs. If you run into any accessibility problems with The Nexus Today, there are two things you can do:

  1. try a simpler version of the site, like headlines.thenexus.today
  2. please let us know about them by emailing support or leaving a comment on Dreamwidth.
